In addition to overall art direction and technical production of many national and local publications, my responsibilities include working closely with printers, advertisers, organization staff and other professionals to assure a smooth-running and timely production schedule. I coordinated with editorial staff for article size, placement and overall layout. I worked with outside advertisers and designers to produce high quality ads and designed many myself. I created templates, art libraries and style sheets to maintain consistent artistic production. Color corrected and digitally enhanced photographs and artwork, including montage creation.
From 2004 to 2006, I was the art director to the Harvard Business School Student Newspaper (The Harbus), as well as their supplemental recruiting guide and web site. I was hired overhaul their production from the ground up and transition the newspaper from archaic paste-up production to FTP uploaded printer submission. I revamped the overall look and organization of the paper and website. In addition to my design skills, I was also responsible for educating three sets of revolving student staff including the advertising director, the editor-in-chief as well as the publisher as they had little to no publication experience.
Since 1999, I have been the art director for Teen Voices Magazine, an award-winning, nationally-distributed, four-color publication. In 1994 I was hired by Mladi Most Project (Youth Bridge), an art and reconciliation project in Bosnia-Hercegovinia to set up a photography program and a resulting magazine produced by entirely by teens. I have worked for weekly tabloid-sized newspapers a well as trade publications.

I help clients develop a plan to most effectively meet their budget requirements, and guide them through the production process. Because I have varied experience on all levels of production, I can bring a cohesive look and style to your materials. I possess the communication skills to assess needs of your project, the creativity to think independently and the vendor resources to implement these plans.
I was the lead designer for The LESAT Guide and Reference Tool for MIT's Lean Aerospace Initiative, complete with tables, charts and graphs. At Jack Morton I was contracted to create trade show materials including lightbox-posters, 30 ft banners, based on their corporate branding. I produced a well received collaborative multimedia presentation, working with web and video professionals to create a successful show. I have worked on many technically oriented projects in both the financial and scientific fields as part of the creative team, contributing to annual reports, brochures and other marketing materials.
In my position as art director on many publications, part of my job is to develop ads for our new advertisers. I have worked for recruitment advertising firms designing prototype ads to help the company sell their services to potential new clients. I use these skills to develop advertising campaigns for small businesses and organizations.
